My Boy’s Toys

This is a watercolor version of the Hitchiker’s Song which was an oil painting.  This one debuted during the SEABA Art Hop last weekend in Burlington VT. The Hitchiker’s Song was featured at the Kasini House in Montreal. If you would like to see HS, go to the right side of the blog under categories> paintings> Oils.

From the “My Boy’s Toys series…

This is the first toy we ever bought D – he wasn’t born yet when we got it. He probably played with it once, and ignores it the rest of the time. I might repaint this one when I’m not in too much of a rush.

I found this one at the Vermont Country Store. If you ever get a chance go check it out, the drive to the store is an adventure in itself, and the store’s got a lot of retro products!

I thought this is a good way to document my son’s development and his childhood… right now he’s got about a dozen toys or so that he plays with with and another dozen or so that he ignores completely… it should be interesting to see how his taste changes in the next few months and years…  For now its a terrific resource for  me to tap into and paint!
